We invite you to a confidential professional preliminary SDA assessment by booking an appointment using the calendar button below.

Following this you may choose to ‘Express your Interest‘, to live your life your way in your own home.

SDA eligibility is based on the following criteria:

A person living with a extreme or complex disability who is either currently engaged in the NDIS program or qualifies for application.
A desire to live as independently as possible.
Generally aged between 18-64 years.
Generally receiving 5+ hours of individual supports daily.

What Happens Next?

A member of our professional tenancy team will contact you within 2 business to discuss you application and will keep you informed of your application or homes progression.

Ability Housing provide a range of services that support long term housing security. In some situations your support coordinator or support provider, may provide these. However, if they don’t you may need these support items to be specified in your NDIS plan. These services are aimed to support long term community living, to build your capacity and assist you to be aware of and meet your tenancy related obligations.

How to access a vacancy?

Vacancies are allocated to people who are eligible for SDA or likely to be approved for SDA and have lodge the EOI.

We will also speak with you about your choices for housing to ensure the homes we provide meet your choices and needs.

Additionally, you may wish to share a home with another SDA eligible person or your family or a partner.
